Location - Orinda, CA
Space Open Studio redesigned this entry garden prioritizing flowering perennials that would attract native birds and pollinators.
The garden’s edge was gently bermed up to buffer from the adjacent roadway, while maintaining visual access to the surrounding landscape.
A new deck and trellis expand an existing covered walkway to the front door, opening up to a play lawn for small children.
Two existing live oaks at the streetscape were supplemented with smaller Arbutus and Chitalpa trees, layering in some additional shade and screening.
