Design - Hyphae Design Lab with Habitat Horticulture and Snohetta
Scope - Living Wall, Water Systems
Location - San Francisco, CA
Hyphae collaborated with Snohetta and Habitat Horticulture to design an self-sustaining living wall, displayed as the largest piece of art in the renovated SFMOMA.
We began the water systems design by analyzing the inputs and outputs of water sources in the building, we found an excess of condensate water coming from the AC units.
Our recirculating system collects irrigation water falling from the living wall, collecting nutrient rich run-off and balancing the dose for the next round.
